This election will be crucial for the future of our towns and region. With the new planning scheme to be decided by the incoming Council. It will be a significant blueprint for the future of the Sunshine Coast, especially considering that our population is predicted to almost double by 2040.

Back-to-Basics

We need a Council that is practical, that has a fresh vision, new ideas, and enthusiasm.

Matthew will bring a back-to-basics style of leadership to Council. To restore common-sense by advocating for all those things that our community needs such as:

  • Street-scaping & footpaths,
  • Rural road sealing,
  • More car parking.
  • Free bulk rubbish pick-up and waste voucher scheme.
  • Better public spaces like parks, playgrounds, and pools.
  • More affordable sewage costs for hinterland residents.
  • Increased focus on the local environment issues like weed eradication and control, stopping rubbish entering waterways, and acquiring properties of local  significance for the protection of flora and fauna.
  • Improved maintenance of all Council assets.
